Emergency Relief Fund
DMCDD administer a special Emergency Relief Fund, which is funded by Danida. Member organisations of DMCDD and their regular partners in developing countries can apply for support of relief activities, humanitarian assistance and urgent rehabilitation effort.
DMCDD can approve up to DKK 250.000 per emergency relief activity and/or humanitarian intervention in connection with an unforeseen or suddenly emerged natural or human-made catastrophe.
In case of larger and longer-lasting emergency operations, where there is a need of more than DKK 250.000 in support, an application can be submitted to the Office for Humanitarian Assistance and NGO Cooperation in the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affaires, Copenhagen through the Danish member organisation. DMCDD may assist with preparing such applications and the required reporting.
