Partnership Activities

DMCDD can support the Danish partners to develop Partnership Support Programmes together with their main Southern partners.

The objective of the Partnership Support Programs is to inspire both the Danish and the Southern partners to enter into joint long-term planning of their cooperation and to prioritise the tasks they want to perform with the support from both private and government funds.

The major Danish partners and their main Southern partners are encouraged to describe themselves, including their historical background, present situation and capacity, mission, strategies and action plans. On this basis they can enter into multi-annual agreements about the vision, aim, form and scope of the cooperation.

As far as the major Danish partners and their main Southern partners are concerned, the design of a Partnership Support Program is expected to launch a capacity development process that may gradually lead to the development of long-term support programs comprising the relevant sectors.

Consideration should be given also to other tasks and functions performed by the Danish partner and the Southern partner and to support the Southern partners might receive from other parties.

For the smaller or less experienced Danish partners and their Southern partners, support will also be given to Partnership Activities with a long-term perspective, so that the Danish and the Southern partners together can clarify their strengths and limitations to a higher degree and define priorities for the partnership in that light.

Support may be granted to the preparation and holding of a Partnership Consultation or Workshop and the follow-up work leading to the formulation and signing of a long-term Partnership Support Program. The maximum support to partnership activities will be DKK 75.000 per activity. Own contribution from Member organisation should be at least 10%.

The participation of a project consultant from DMCDD may be supported with up to DKK 25.000 on top of the mentioned maximum support.
